Greater Houston Airstream Club History
The Greater Houston Airstream Club was initially named The Texas Coastal Plains Unit when the unit was formed in 1975 by a group of members from the Texas Gulf Coast Unit who felt the need for a Houston Based Unit. The unit’s name was changed to the Greater Houston Airstream Club in July 2017 to tie the club’s name to the primary area our members are located. A Unit Constitution and Bylaws were developed and application was made for the charter of a new Unit. On May 30, 1975, a Constitution and Bylaws were formally adopted by the group and submitted to the Wally Byam Caravan Club. The unit’s name was changed to the Greater Houston Airstream Club in July 2017 to tie the club’s name to the primary area our members are located.
